writing GRAPHIC NOVELS - series

WRITE YOUR GRAPHIC NOVEL

Course starts MONDAY 1 JUNE 2026 - runs 8 weeks!

To make this course accessible, you can pay in 4 if you sign up in the month of may!

This course is for writers who are curious about graphic novels as a storytelling form, and who want to expand how they tell story. You may be coming from screenwriting, prose, or simply carrying an idea that feels visual. If something in you has gone, “There’s something here…” — this is a space to explore it properly.

Over 8 weeks, you will develop an original graphic novel from idea to structured sample. We’ll work through character, story, and how narrative lives on the page — not just in words, but in images, pacing, and panels. This is not a theory course. It’s a writing course. You come with an idea, and you build it

The course is designed around doing. Each week moves your project forward with clear outcomes, guided exercises, and live sessions. By the end, you will have a developed piece of work — something tangible that reflects your voice, your thinking, and your ability to shape story in a new format.

If you have an idea that you genuinely think is good, don’t let some idiot talk you out of it.

Our students love our
approach to learning

“The Storyteller Pod taught me a better understanding of my audience, mentored me through the process of getting my spec scripts together. I used my spec to get a job on a series... and the rest is history!
I still take classes every week, because I keep learning, and I keep getting better."
robyn roux
"I went from being a regular Nigerian writer who used to joke about writing for Disney someday (never thinking it could possibly happen) to actually having written on a Disney show and a Netflix show and a PBS show... And on my second show for Disney now!! Using my specs from the Pitch to Script-course."
omotunde akiode
"Natasje unpacks the elements of a great scene in a simple, can-do way. Then she coaches you step-by-step through your own scene. I’ll never see the ‘humble’ scene the same again. Onwards and upwards!"

WHY CHOOSE
THE STORYTELLER POD'S

COURSES?

Practical approach

You learn from examples.
You learn by WRITING IT YOURSELF.
You learn by co-developing your peers' scripts in peer review. Which means in every 8-week cycle, you've worked on at least 4 stories in a series. And written one.

Globally and Professionally oriented

Our programmes mirror the process you would follow if you worked in any international professional environment.
Our facilitators are experienced and award-winning international writers who offer expert guidance.

For your career

Our programmes are "outcomes-based", meaning our main goal is empowering the student to have a written document in hand at the end of the 8 weeks so they can apply for work, or seek representation.
Comics are words and pictures. You can do anything with words and pictures.
