    WRITE YOUR FEATURE FILM

WRITE YOUR FEATURE is a year-long programme designed to help you finish your feature film screenplay.
This is not a theory-heavy course. It’s a structured container for completion: learn the craft, workshop your story, receive editorial guidance, and stay supported from first idea to final draft.

Or sign up for our special PAYMENT PLAN of €155/ month for 16 months.

COURSE STARTS THURSDAY 5 MARCH 1-3 PM UK.

    OUR PROCESS

WRITE YOUR FEATURE takes you through the full script development journey, step by step.

    We move from:
idea → research → premise → major turning points → outline → scene breakdown → draft → rewrite.

You’re not just learning about screenwriting.

You’re actively developing your story through each stage of the process, with structure, deadlines, and support holding the container.

This is how we move projects out of “some day” and into finished screenplay territory.

    OUR METHODOLOGY

This programme is built around three pillars:

    Write your awesome label here.

This is not a passive course. It’s a working programme designed for writers who want to complete something real.

LEARN  – You’re taught the craft and tools you need.

Learn the ropes in two on-demand tutorials each month, with simple, practical worksheets that help you apply the learning directly to your own feature script.

WORKSHOP – You actively develop your own story.

Fortnightly live workshops where you develop your story, work through blockers, and move your script forward with the support of a creative circle and a story editor.

    EDITORIAL & SUPPORT – Monthly one-on-one guide.

Monthly 40-minute one-on-one editorial to work through your story and get personalised feedback. Plus write-togethers with fellow screenwriters and a supportive online community.

    WHO IS THIS FOR?

For writers who have “write a feature” on their list, tired of negotiating with that dream and ready to say, "YES!".

    Course created and facilitated by

    Natasje van Niekerk

screenwriter - story editor - development writer
Natasje van Niekerk started her career in the entertainment industry as an actress. After landing a job on a children's show in South Africa similar to Sesame Street, acting soon became writing.

Kids turned into adults and not long after, she joined the writing team on acclaimed South African Soap, Generations, and continued the soap track with Muvhango and Binnelanders. This was followed by a selection of sitcoms, magazine programmes and drama series.

Then Magic Cellar happened - The first multi-award winning African animated series that swept her off her feet and opened up the wonderful world of animated series. It also provided an opportunity to be mentored by Clive Endersby, acclaimed Canadian story editor.

20 years in television later and Natasje has a list of children’s TV shows, international animated series and many nominations and awards on her belt.

The  most natural progression of her career was to join the ranks of the NFVF (The National Film Commission) as script editor and mentor for creatives developing films and TV series.

In 2015 she started The Storyteller Pod alongside her writing career, and developed courses to bridge the gaps screenwriters experience in their skillsets.

And this course is a result of working with screenwriters for years - seeing where they struggle and devising a way to help.
