Let's chat!!

Join us for a lively and insight-filled hour with Diana Kimpton, author of more than 40 children’s books, including the beloved Pony-Mad Princess and Amy Wild series.

Diana began her career as a maths teacher, but quickly followed her heart into writing. Since then, she’s written everything from chapter books and picture books to plays and non-fiction — with credits in both traditional and self-publishing.

In this conversation, she’ll share practical advice and honest insights into what it really takes to get published in the children’s book world — including what she’s learned from decades of working across formats and routes to market.

This session is for anyone working in kids' animation who's curious about crossing into publishing — or just wants to better understand the world of children’s books.

Your Host:
Natasje van Niekerk

She currently lives in the Irish Countryside with her husband, toddler - yes, she contributed to the audience pool -, two semi-feral black cats and two spaniels.
In her free time she enjoys ... what are you talking about "free time"? She has a toddler and a menagerie of pets: Free time does not live here. If she had "free" time, she would take longer baths.
