Alizée works across international film and TV development labs, supporting writers in shaping their stories from early idea through to pitch-ready projects.
In this session, she’ll share how development labs actually work, what they look for, and what writers can take from that process. She’ll also reflect on writing her book and what it revealed about the craft of animation storytelling.
This session is for writers who want to better understand development labs and strengthen their own work.

Natasje van Niekerk is an international award-winning screenwriter and story editor for animated series. Her experience in TV and film extends to live action, with almost 20 years experience across many genres.
She currently lives in the Irish Countryside with her husband, toddler, two semi-feral black cats and two spaniels.
In her free time she enjoys ... what are you talking about "free time"? She has a toddler and a menagerie of pets: Free time does not live here. If she had "free" time, she would take longer baths.
